About us

Founded in 1979 by Steve Pead and John Harding, Kingpin Auto Services was just a mobile mechanics business. They then found their home in Cambridge grove and for over 40 years they serviced the people of hove and beyond.

Steve’s son Adam joined the business in 2010 as an employee eager to learn the trade. 2017 saw John retire and Adam became a partner making Kingpin a family run business.

Now in 2022 Steve has also decided to take the plunge and retire.

Adam has now brought on board his close friend David Trafford, who is a highly competent mechanic and trained MOT tester with 15 + years of experience

They are now ready to start the new chapter in the kingpin’s story and continue the high standard of repairs and family values.
